Buy Once, Give twice with Charity Christmas Cards
Charity cards are a great way to buy once and give twice - once to the person you send the card to and again to your favourite charity.
Shoppers in Storrington can buy their Charity Christmas cards in Storrington Library. Cards from 28 different national charities will be on sale locally in the library from 17th October - 23rd December.
The Library kindly helps Cards for Good Causes, which is the UK’s largest mulit-charity Christmas card organisation.
Its aims are simple - to make charity Christmas cards as widely available as possible, to increase awareness for their causes and to ensure that the charities receive the highest possible return from their card sales. Cards for Good Causes Limited (CFGC) pays the participating charities (or their trading subsidiaries) at least 75p in every pound from their card sales, less the VAT payable on the amount retained by CFGC. The retained amount covers CFGC’s costs of running the temporary charity Christmas card shops. In addition to these costs, the participants have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards.
A larger selection of cards, plus traditional advent calendars, wrappings and tags and small gifts are on sale at Cornerstones Methodist Church, Worthing. The shop opens on 17th October and is open Monday - Saturday 10.00 - 4.00p.m. until 14 December.
