Chanctonbury Lions Club
Chanctonbury Lions Club had another successful year and look forward to an equally busy and productive 2011.
The sale of secondhand books continues to be our major fund-raising activity and during 2010 we generated sales of almost 20,000 pounds. The books are kindly donated by the general public and we would like to thank all those who have and continue to support our Club.
During 2010 we made donations and supported the following:
St Barnabas Hospice, Chestnut Tree House, Hospice, Help For Heroes, Haiti Earthquake Appeal, Chanctonbury Community
Playscheme, Storrington Museum, Worthing Hospital Scanner Appeal, Storrington Greenfingers / Splash / Storrington ATC
(With Storrington Rotary & Storrington Round Table Club’s), WRVS Christmas Parcels, Pakistan Floods Appeal, Mary How Trust Health Screening, West Chiltington First Responders - replacement battery packs, MS Sufferer, Sense Charity for the Deaf Blind, International Educational Trips for Young People, Furniture / Carpets / Domestic Appliances for Needy Families, Alarm System for Elderly Lady, Steyning Grammar School 6th Form Prize.
