DEC 11 - Storrington and District Museum

We have had a busy year, probably busier than any of us would have thought in January but we have also had fun. November had three consecutive special days and there was a real buzz in the year and even though we only have one event in December, Saturday 10th and we are expecting fun and Christmas spirit

Why? Well Father Christmas will be there with some surprising helpers. The local schools will have returned their art work and this will be displayed and judged. There will be special gifts for children to buy and also a gift table for adults and of course the opportunity to win something in the tombola.

Marty is also making a return visit with his magical friends. The jury is still out whether its the adults or the children who are the most enamoured!

The Toy exhibition will now be into its last few weeks and it will also be showing signs of the Christmas spirit. If you have not already seen it please come up, there are some wonderful toys to conjure up memories. Until I saw the tiny Minnie mouse wooden puppet I had completely forgotten that I had owned one and loved it to pieces!!

We look forward to seeing you whenever you can manage to come up in December, but the Open day on the tenth does provide food all day! What an opportunity to meet Father Christmas and have a lovely lunch or even just cake and coffee.

We close on Thursday 22nd December, until Saturday, 14th January when we open our new exhibition, but more about that in the next issue. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
