Local Care Provider switch on the Village Christmas Lights!
Caremark, a local care provider based in Pulborough, West Sussex sponsored the Christmas lights in Storrington village this year, as well as sponsoring a competition held with Storrington first school. The lights were switched on and the prize was presented at the Storrington late night shopping event held on 3rd December 2009 in Storrington village, which attracted an impressive 11,000 visitors, an increase of 4000 on last
On the evening, Caremark invited a care worker along to switch on the village lights, while Kevin Lewis, Managing Director and Sean Cragg, National Operations Director presented the prize to Georgina Gilkes, the winner of the school competition. Georgina designed a Christmas light in the shape of a penguin which has now been mounted on the wall of Fowlers estate agents for everybody to admire.
“The late night shopping event was fantastic; there was something for everyone to do like Santa’s Grotto, a funfair, mulled wine, market stalls and many other attractions. Caremark held a stall and we gave out free hot drinks and mince pies to the crowds, as well as collecting money for Winstons Wish, the leading child bereavement charity in the UK”, says Rosie Williams of Caremark, “We are looking forward to continuing this sponsorship for the next 3 years, as well as getting very involved with many other Storrington community events”.
