Rydon Community College Celebrates Ofsted Result

Following Ofsted’s recent inspection at Rydon Community College, new Head teacher, Allison Murphy, has spoken about the excellent springboard it has given her to make real progress at the school.

Ofsted concluded Rydon was a ‘good school with outstanding features’.  Ofsted’s recent policy changes have meant this was achieved against a background of much stricter criteria, and reflected the hard work of her team and the significant achievements of the pupils.

Mrs Murphy expressed her confidence in meeting those areas for improvement identified by Ofsted but was thrilled by the positive comments about the school and, in particular, the marvellous support from parents whose positive response to their Ofsted questionnaires exceeded all expectations.

Despite all the pressures facing head teachers these days Mrs Murphy added how delighted she was to be appointed to her new role and, with the support of the local community, looked forward to achieving much higher levels of performance which all parents wanted to see for their children.
