Southern Area Partnership - Year 8 Cricket Champions 2011

On Monday 4th July, Rydon Community College became the Southern Area Partnership Cricket Champions for the 2nd time in 3 years, beating St Andrews at the Manor Ground in Worthing.
On the way the final, Rydon beat Steyning GS, St Andrews, Shoreham Academy and Sir Robert Woodard in the group stages. In the semi-final they comfortably beat Angmering.
St Andrews won the toss and elected to bat. Off their 16 overs they posted a score of 83 for 8 wickets. Dan Wheatley was the best of the bowlers with figures of 2 - 6.
Rydon batting extremely well and reached the St Andrews total within 12 overs.
This was a fantastic performance from the boys who have not lost a game this year.
