Storrington and District Museum

Storrington and District Museum has a really busy July with the opening of our new exhibition on Saturday 16 July. We will be looking at “Giants of the Countryside” the Mills which have graced our area,investigating how they worked and why they are no longer here. Local Mill enthusiasts will be on hand to educate us still further and on the opening day Saturday 16 there will be an opportunity to have an escorted walk around the local mill sites.

On Thursday July 21 there is a “Know Your Storrington” village walk with Eunice Allen which will start from the Museum at 2pm.

Later on in the month on July 30 the Museum is thrilled to invite you to an Old Tyme Music Hall evening at Rydon Community College. A peek preview of the programne shows a evening of variety,fun and wonderful music.

Tickets are available from the Museum in School Lane and the Card Shop in the High Street. Priced at £12 each they include a glass of wine and canapes. We look forward to seeing you at any or all of these events.
