Sussex Wildlife Trust Events - June - August 2010
Enjoy
a fantastic, free family day out at this year’s Springwatch
Festival organised by Brighton and Hove City Council and the Sussex
Wildlife Trust. It’s the perfect chance to find out more about the
local wildlife that lives in the City, on the downs, in our woodlands
and the huge variety of aquatic creatures that live in our seas,
rivers and rock pools. With plenty of hands-on nature based activities for all ages, there will also be sheep shearing displays, traditional woodcraft demonstrations and a special area demonstrating how to create a wildlife haven in your own garden or greenspace.
To celebrate the International Year of Biodiversity 2010 there’s also the chance to take part in BIOBLITZ and join local wildlife experts in finding and identifying as many wildlife species as possible during one day in Stanmer Park.
Local produce will also be available in the food market alongside local entertainment and a programme of wildlife talks in Stanmer House.
