Whizz-Kidz Fundraising

When I started fundraising for Whizz-Kidz in January having gotten the marathon place only at Christmas, I didn’t think I would have such a long and distinguished list of people to thank after the event. Before it gets too much later, I want to send you this heartfelt thank you, and just a few of the photos of events and press coverage at/ in which you were all thanked publicly too. Whether at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in March, the Creative Competition, Bake sales, or the West Chiltington School Mini Marathon we had posters up and announcements made to thank you, and it is my turn to share it with you.
In total with your support I raised £1,733 by the time I completed the marathon on April 17th, so on behalf of Whizz-Kidz and me, a huge thank you.
And of course, if you are looking for a cause in the future, may I also take the chance to ask you to consider Whizz-Kidz again? They really are something special.

About Whizz-Kidz: http://www.whizz-kidz.org.uk/
There are an estimated 70,000 disabled children and young people in the UK waiting for a wheelchair that fits their young lives. Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children with the essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment they need to lead fun and active childhoods. Giving a disabled child a wheelchair is just the start of their journey with Whizz-Kidz. All around the country disabled children and young people are meeting and making friends at our growing network of local clubs. They’re having fun whizzing around obstacle courses, knocking over skittles, doing wheelies and learning about important things like road safety at our wheelchair skills courses. They’re forming campaign groups and meeting MPs, contacting the press, and designing campaign badges and posters. And because growing up can be a bit scary, they’re taking part in our work placement programme and building confidence at our life skills events. There’s lots going on to ‘move a life forward’!
